# Overview

Helios is novel in that it brings a smart contract platform to Bitcoin. This section serves as a developer-oriented guide, explaining behavior of important smart contract functions, SDK, how to interact with Helios’s smart contracts, use price oracles, and run liquidator bots. The audience here is technical: developers building on Helios or integrating it into services (exchanges, wallets, custodians).
